On watching high ratings online and as per advice of our driver we decided to have our dinner at Khamma Ghani Restaurant with high expectations.
We really liked the ambiance at the lake side with a pleasant weather. People were enjoying their drinks and meals. There is a heavy footfall of people at this restaurant. The open kitchen for tandoor really made us feel good about authenticity of restaurant.
We were given an indoor table because of the peak time where our wait for good food started. We had to ask for water ten times, no table napkins were given until and unless asked several times. After 15-20 minutes we placed our order for starters.
We ordered Spring Rolls Vegetable and Chicken Kesari Tangari Kabab.
Spring Rolls were served after 20 minutes and we really enjoyed the crispiness of the outer part and tenderness of the stuffing. The presentation was also equally good.
Anyways our waiter forgot to get the Chicken Kesari Tangari Kabab and after reminding him after 35 minutes he reminded himself to get the dish. The look and feel of the dish was were tempting but once we served it to our plates we found the chicken legs were bleeding. That really spoiled our whole mood and our further wish to have anything else. Again on several requests waiter came to see the issue and he agreed and took the dish away quickly telling us he ‘ll cancel the order.
Thinking that it could be happened to anyone and in any restaurant we decided the place our Main Course item for which we were here for – Laal maas and some pasta. Even after 40 mins our food was not served. We decided the speak to the manager where we told him to cancel all orders and give us bills for what we had. He was very rude to handle us and told us to pay the bill at the counter instead of being apologetic and getting our bill served to us.
After getting angry the owner of the restaurant came to us to cool us down and convinced us to have our food. After his courteous and apologetic behavior only we decided to have our food.
The food was good but we lost our mood for good food by then.
A complementary ice cream was also served to make things better by the owner.
We really had high expectations from the restaurant but unfortunately didnt have a good experience.
