Bursting with restaurants and street food joints is Hudson Lane that is a top notch lane famous among youth of Delhi University. One of the fast running casual dining restaurants famous among students and families that fares well is Indus Flavour. It is one of the most anticipated not so expensive vegetarian restaurant where the food is good and it is interesting to taste the melding of Indian dishes with the various ingredients that might not necessarily be traditional and tastes good.
The walls of the restaurant shows you a glimpse of few Delhi University colleges and areas nearby which makes a fun place for students and passed out people gets nostalgic with their University memories.
Once you get your table you will be given a refreshing welcome drink that is made from Pulse toffee, yes u heard right it gives you all the flavour of that toffee in your mouth to make your energized and get ready for your food journey in this restaurant. Within few minutes you will be served with chilled popcorns for your munching. Popcorns are served in a shallow bowl of dry ice with cold plumes of smoke wafting out.
The menu here is little different with few catchy names and for the starters we decided to have TU CHEEZ BADI HE MAST MAST, HONEY CHILLY POTATO and CRISPY SALT AND PEPPER. TU CHEEZ BADI HE MAST MAST is another name for Dahi ke Kabab made of hung curd and crisp outer layer, a different and good delicacy we had. HONEY CHILLY POTATO were also very tempting and tasting good with a feeling of honey first chilly later in your mouth. CRISPY SALT AND PEPPER were average and not that crisp as we expected.
To move on to the main course we had to have some space in our tummies for which they served us with a digestive drink made of cumin seeds, ginger, carrom seeds, chat masala with soda.. an innovative version created by this restaurant. 👇
For the Main Course we had PESHAWARI PANEER TIKKA MASALA with GARLIC NAAN AND GARLIC CHEESE NAAN. This delicacy was also upto the mark. A 9/10 for this paneer tikka dipped in a thick gravy.
Shakes and Mocktails are average here but the best thing is they are served with paper straws. A step towards a NO PLASTIC MOVEMENT for a better world.
To finish our meal we were served with a light innovative sweet dish made of cotton candy stuffed with paan filling, a very good and innovative thing to offer. (No so good in humid climate)
The service here is very quick and and servers are also very friendly. A little waiting is expected during weekends so be an early bird to avoid the waiting hurdle.
They have a special menu and prices for students which are provided by showing their student IDs
