Curry is culture. Cooked in tradition and influenced by exchange of ingredients brought by traders and immigrants, curries continue to evolve globally.
Bira 91 will host the second edition of International Curry Week 2019 from 5th – 20th October, across New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, New York, London, Singapore & Hong Kong.
Imagined in India for the World; the ebbs and eddies of culture and technology brought curry to the shores of the Caribbean, the curry shops of London, the food counters of Sichuan, the Bratwursts of Berlin, the Pho stands of Vietnam and the Kaeng Kari street vendors of Thailand.
This year International Curry Week will bring chefs and curry lovers together to celebrate culture, curries and flavor. The chefs will curate a custom menu with curry-centric entrees, which will be paired with the newly launched Bira 91 IPA brewed with Pomelo.
The participating restaurants include New Delhi’s Mahabelly, Kampai, Lavaash, Coast Café and Whisky Samba; Mumbai’s Uno Mas, Gymkhana 91,The Terrace to name a few; Bengaluru’s Sanchez, Sriracha, Fisherman’s Wharf, Salt and many more, Singapore’s Delhi Express, Bistro 136, Gabbar and Kinara; Hong Kong’s Monte Carlo and Chez Bistro; New York’s Benares, Dhaba and Baar Baar; London’s Cinnamon Bazaar, Chai Naasto, Silka Urban Indian and many more.
